The Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Full Lum shines in the absence of light

As far as watch enthusiasts are concerned, no detail is too minute for scrutiny. And in the case of sporty, tool watches, the lume can play an important factor in determining whether or not a watch succeeds in this category. Not only is the brightness of the lume called into question but questions like how long does the glow last? Is it applied in all the right places? Are often debated and discussed online. Well for those folks, we might have found the perfect watch for them and it is the Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Full Lum.

As you look at the watch in the light, it looks like just another addition to the BR 03-92, this time with a dial and strap offering a light, yellowish, greenish colour (we have yet to see the watch in person). However, as darkness takes over, the true nature of the watch starts to become obvious and the name Full Lum is quite indicative of what we mean.

Unlike most watches that offer luminescent materials sparingly, the Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Full Lum is quite literally coated with the stuff. On the dial, instead of the hands and indices coated with the stuff, it is inversed to the point where the entire dial is covered with a special paint made of C3 Super-LumiNova luminescent pigments. The thing that makes this watch truly special however is the fact that the lume extends to the strap as well. Bell & Ross stands as a pioneer with this new luminescent rubber strap. To get the entire thing to glow, the luminescent pigments had to be mixed into the material before it was then hot moulded and pressed.

As incredible as we think this watch would be in the Bell & Ross collection, they have decided to keep this Full Lum version as a very limited edition of 250 pieces worldwide. And anticipating the massive rush to get these glow-in-the-dark watches, they have announced a raffle system for those who hope to have this piece illuminating their watch boxes at home.

The ballot registration will start today (15th November 2019) ending on the 22nd November at 5:59 pm. All hopeful buyers will have to make their way down to either one of these Bell & Ross boutiques in the country to participate:
